What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology, and has been proven effective in practices throughout the world. Not only are your aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are no problem.

 

How does it work?

Each set of aligners is worn for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move incrementally – little by little, week by week – until they are well-aligned in the final positions. After the final aligner has been worn, Dr. Niles and you will decide if any refinements are needed to correct the teeth further. You'll visit Dr. Niles about once every 4 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages about 18 months.

 

Invisalign Teen

Dr. Niles is also a Preferred Premier Provider of Invisalign Teen. Some of the benefits of Invisalign Teen  :

  • allow for your growing permanent teeth. 
  • have a Blue Dot Wear Indicator, designed to show an estimation of wear-time. The dot is designed to fade to clear over a two-week period if you wear (20 to 22 hours everyday) your aligners properly.
  • can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing, or going to a special event.
  • are replaceable if lost. That's right, you get up to six free individual aligners!
  • don't interfere with sports activities and even musical instruments.
